A whirlwind of designs in my head

Today was such a wonderful day! I went to Manayunk with my wonderful sister, and met a truly talented fabric artist. I got to walk through her studio, view the stamps, smell the inks, and see some amazing finished goods made with these gorgeous textiles. It felt like coming home to me. I've always wanted my own studio, full of beautiful fabrics, bolts and bolts of fabrics, just waiting to become something wonderful. The experience threw me, headlong, into design mode!
The fabrics I came home with have inspired so many new designs, and I'm tripping over myself trying to get them down on paper. I can't wait to start creating! Be on the lookout for new bag designs in the next month or so. Handbags, wristlets and more, showcasing these limited-run hand stamped fabrics.

That sounds like such a great day, I used to live in PA and I miss Manayunk.

I completely know what you mean about being inspired to create from being around other creative people! I guess that's one of the reasons I love crafty blogs since I see so many wonderful items and then in turn want to make some of my own :)

Wow, you actually got to visit the studio, that must have been amazing! It's my dream to have a studio like that, just create fabric all day. I would have been inspired too!! Love their work, and love your work!!
